Get to Know Dr. Gino Barillas
Dr. Barillas was fascinated with the medical field from a very young age. In fact, he first thought about being a dentist around the age of 9-10! He’s glad that his instincts brought him to where he is today, as he couldn’t be happier helping his patients improve their oral health and confidence. But the best part is simply getting to know everyone who visits us, as those relationships are what make the job truly special.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After completing his undergraduate education at Brandeis University, Dr. Barillas went on to graduate from the University of New England School of Dental Medicine. Today, he is very active with Spear Education and the Seattle Study Club, taking many continuing education courses focused on oral surgery, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and restorative procedures. He also stays on top of the latest progress in dentistry through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Barillas met his wife (a nurse practitioner) in college, and they are now the proud parents of a dog named Lily. When he isn’t spending quality time with them, playing board games or cooking, you’ll often find him on the golf course. Fun Fact: Dr. Barillas fenced in college!
