Get to Know Dr. Ryan Salamon
Like countless young hockey players before him, Dr. Salamon found himself in the dentist’s office following a traumatic injury on the ice. The doctor was able to fix things relatively quickly, and that experience planted the seed for his future career. What also stuck with him is that his dentist had been seeing some of his patients for over 30 years, and the idea of forming deep connections with the people he served sounded like the perfect fit.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Salamon started his college education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, eventually earning his DMD at the University of New England in Portland. A Fellow of Implant Pathway with additional training through Spear Education in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligner orthodontics, he is constantly working to bring the most effective and up-to-date care to our patients.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dentistry is a common subject at home for Dr. Salamon and his wife, a registered dental hygienist and professor at UNE. They stay busy thanks to their three young children (two boys and a girl), soaking up the summer sun or skiing in the winter. A long-distance runner, amateur piano player, and techie who is currently into 3D printing, life is delightfully busy both inside and outside the office. Fun Fact: Dr. Salamon served in the Marine Corps with the 2nd Tank Battalion as a data networking Marine.
